I tried it briefly when it first came out. I just couldn't get into it, but a lot of people like it.

To be fair, I didn't give it much of a trial, but it just didn't appeal to me.

There was a game I beta-tested a couple years ago called Salem... this doesn't sound like the same game though. In that game you played a pilgrim-era person, in the town of Salem. It was full PVP, perma-death... I was not impressed and didn't play it long :) Not sure what ever happened to that game,...
