Ahhh, my time line was off then. I knew Apple had rejected a Flash player on IPhone because it would have given users the ability to get about 70% of the things they pay for now in the app store for free online, and it would have not required a Mac to develop IPhone apps. But it was after, and in response to CS5 then. How lame.

Apparently what people are saying here is that they can't. Some stories are saying that Apple has rejected the packager that is included with Flash CS5. I don't know what the status of it is at this point.

However, I heard that a way for Windows users to make full IPhone apps (not just Flash, but 3D and everything) may be unveiled at the Apple convention this year. I can't remember what the convention is called, but it is something like World Developer Conference, and it is coming up soon.

ohh. Well I saw a video of a guy on YouTube making a simple program on flash (windows), exporting it, putting it in iTunes, and playing it on his itouch

Hmm...well, that sounds like it works then. However, if I was going to make something for IPhone and only had a PC, I would be watching the news about this rumored Windows solution that will allow full usage of the IPhone SDK without a Mac or Objective-C that is supposedly going to be announced at the Apple developer conference. Flash is a great platform for many uses, but all except the most casual games are going to pale in comparison to the performance and graphical effects that native compiled apps can display.

Ye it does work, BUT apple will not allow them in the appstore. So then only you and people with jailbreaked phones can run the app.

Hmm...well, hopefully the rumors are true about an official way for PC users to make apps for it, because a jailbreak-only app = worthless for commercial development.

I heard those rumors too, but those included that steve balmer was going to appear on stage with steve jobs, which was officially denied by microsoft in a twitter message saying: "Steve Ballmer not speaking at Apple Dev Conf. Nor appearing on Dancing with the Stars. Nor riding in the Belmont. Just FYI." (http://twitter.com/Microsoft/status/14850981422)

Must say it is truly a shame that he is not appearing on dancing with the stars

I heard that part, too, but hoping it was just an exaggeration based on some truth to the story about a new tool for PCs.

The Jury is still out on whether Unity can even make an Ipod/Iphone game. Because it was also banned by the new TOS.
