Game question:

I just had a thought...who here gets into playing the tycoon type games? (IE: Roller Coaster Tycoon, Mall Tycoon, Sea World Tycoon, etc)


I was thinking about maybe looking into building a Camp Ground Tycoon. Object to build the ultimate camp ground whether it be along a lake, water fall, plain wilderness, etc...

Who here would play that type of game? If not, why? If yes, why?

I would love to play something likes this because I simply enjoy tycoon games, you could add a feature that you unlock certain features (lake,waterfall,sand dunes) as you progress through the game i.e. you start off with a lake but as you get to own more parks you can own parks with waterfalls and stuff

The neat thing about making them 3D--and what has become fairly popular in 3D Tycoon games these days--is that you can allow players to do a "3D walk-through" of their creation. I think Rollercoaster Tycoon was the first to do this, since obviously there was a lot of requests to take virtual rides on the rollercoasters the players build, but now it has become quite a common feature.

I think that would be awesome! Have something where you make lakes waterfalls and make it so you have to advertise your camp ground and get people to come to it! And yes this would be awesome in 3D

Well, if I get enough votes for it, then I will def start working on it, and put everything else on hold...I think it would be an awesome game if done right. I will start a new thread, call it "Campground Tycoon" and put a poll on it and run it for a week and see how it goes.

i dont think i have played a single "Tycoon" game. Just Sim games. I would definitely play this if you made it though.

I see allot of work. Tons of graphis. Think on this one and map out exactly how much work it will be first.

Yeah you might need a team to do this. It sounds like a huge project. If you need a team though I'll see if I can help

Yeah, I am looking into it. But with any 3d game, there are tons of graphics.
