Oldie but goodie

Post by Jackolantern »

I don't know why i thought about this chain letter after reading it nearly 14 or 15 years ago. Probably too much reading up on website security made me want to read it again now that I have more of a grip on what it is talking about (when I read it at 14 or 15 years old I found it funny, but did not get the "Lunix" or "telnet" references).

Yes, it is old, and most of the old-heads here will have likely read it, but it has been dead and buried for so long maybe some of the youngins around here will get a kick out of it. Most computer-savvy people's first reaction is anger, but it is a joke, written by someone who was obviously a mid-90's web developer. Have fun!

omg..this sounds so much like the old

"Signs your son worships the devil?"

1. If he plays dungeons and dragons then yes. See kids who play dungeons and dragons are evil and hate everything. The constantly masturbate to devil music and kill small farm animals and dance in their blood as they play their nasty little game called D&D....Come to my church, give me a offering of money and I will heal your son.

I always assumed it was because of the tongue-in-cheek jokes such as
your son may damage your computer, and even break it completely by deleting Windows, at which point you will have to have your computer repaired by a professional.
...which definitely sounds like someone who hated computer laymen who thought that every computer had to have Windows 95

However, there is still debate as to whether or not it was a joke. I believe it was, though. :o
