About Sharecash:
Sharecash is a site that pays you for uploading files. You upload your files to their database, and when a person downloads it you will get money. Between 0.40$ and around 1$.

1. Uploading files:
When you are uploading a file you should find something interesting, that is not just uploaded by thousands of people. This way there will be more downloads for you. Find maybe songs, software, games, hacks and upload.

Getting downloads:
You get a link to the file. Make a youtube video. Make it as proffesional as possible and with good tags, title and description. Say that there is a free download link in description, and put your downloadlink in description of the video.

Traffic:
You get traffic by good titles, tags, descriptions, views, subscribers, comments, likes etc.
There are many things playing a role.

You could use a auto comment/like/view etc. website like enhanceviews.net

Post it on forums too!

Maybe make a BitTorrent file with it also.

Now now, don't jump on him utterly - someone else awhile back posted a link to some games share thing as well. People get excited about this stuff. Don't judge the person as a whole for what was probably an in the moment enthusiasm. And alot of us could do with some spare bucks, we don't all have awesome jobs. What might seem appalling when your in a good job might not seem so appaling if you weren't.

The problem is that 99.9999% of these things are at least mostly scams. The major hole in this one is: where does the company get the $0.30 - $1 per file download to pay the uploader? That is a lot of value per download, and it could stack up very fast to mean the company owes millions of dollars on just a single viral download. So either they are A. not actually paying you anywhere near that amount for each download, or B. they charge heavily for each download (which I don't see how they could stay in business), or C. they are making most of their money from something they are not forthcoming about.
