For Hire

Post by hallsofvallhalla »

So I have found something I really really want but it is quite expensive and I must save to get it. I am thinking of doing some "for hire" programming or game development but normally people come to me on the small chance I do it.

Anyone have some links to some of those freelancer or for hire sites that display jobs and things. Might be a good resource to have on the site anyways.

ugh that is a crappy site, they need to hire their own freelancers to fix it :)

thanks for the link but yeah looking for more game related and that is full of 3rd world cheap developers that are under bidding everyone.

I did bid on a few just to see though.

Was actually going through some of my nearly completed games to see about selling them. Any good places to sell scripts or games like that?

Oh, yeah I have seen that. These people will bid like $30 for a 2 week job of writing an entire multithreaded server :o

Yep

However, in my experience, I have seen people refuse the lowest offer to instead get someone in an English-speaking country. I couldn't imagine you would get great results if the people you hire barely understand English :P

Dunno if your familiar with Javascript or C# but I know unity programmers can get some freelance in the Commcerial section. Thats where I've been getting my jobs..

Thanks for the info...

I eat a box of Javascript every morning for breakfast and sometimes for dinner.

Hmmm...Unity experience for Unity projects could also potentially knock out a lot of the cheap third-world competition. ;)
