I was wondering if some of you would be interested to play a little contest:
I would develop a base JS script for a classic game like tic-tac-toe or other, and you should develop the AI of the game on top of the "framework". The best AI would receive something for free (being a virtual hand-shake or something more )
Who would be interested? If we have only one candidate it doesn't make sense to make a contest, but could still be interesting. So don't be shy even if your entry / proposal is not top notch it may still help you to learn something or impress others and actually lead to a better AI code at the end.
What about a little contest / training / tutorial?

That would likely be enough. If he is going to supply the script, then probably all of the DOM manipulation would be in place, and you just have to add the logic for the opponent's moves.vitinho444 wrote:I would like that, but im not that good at JS.. i know the basics only and enough to script in Unity and do some site scripting (very basic).
That sounds cool

You would not need any DOM or anything, my idea was that the "framework" would cover all that. However till some more interest in the thread is shown I will not do it. Doing it for one person makes me wonder if it was a good idea, and instead concentrate on other things.

It was a good idea in fact, but atm people might not be able to join this contest..
If i had some time (i can't really commit right now to anything) i would like to try.

That is what I meant, is that the script you write would likely cover any DOM or Canvas manipulation.
It also may not be getting much attention since it is way down in the Coding section. It would likely get more attention if it was written into the Announcement section with a more specific title.

Announcements? For a proposal of a coding contest? Anyhow I shall try to make the framework and an opponent AI this week. We shall see how it goes and then post in announcements
