Neronix17 comes from the latin neronixious cutious facianatis, which mean "has a cute face".
Only kiddin, I got mine from my name and a last name that was an option on Second Life a long time ago (Nero + Nix). I thought it better than my geeky star wars based username (Durge13 as in the bounty hunter Durge) and I sometimes use Nero.Starrs, Nero13, Neronix or Neronix18 if Neronix17 is taken. The number is from how old I was when I originally made it.

mine comes from about 5 odd yrs ago. when i started playin legend of mir again. needed a name for a store char. n was at the time when i was into marilyn manson in a big way. n was listenin to the song tourniquet from his anarchist superstar album. one spelling mistake later and torniquet was born
lol
then used it as my main character in ragezones legend of mir private server.
then it kinda just stuck lol. also created 3 more names (mir has 4 classes now lol so needed one for each)
Sable (taoist)
Torniquet (warrior)
Maiden (wiz)
PoisonIvy (assassin)
no idea where i got the others from lol. but i always play as female chars, purly cuz i would rather spend my time lookin at a lasses pixelated rear end than a blokes lol. and cuz back in the day female armours was always cheaper than males.
then my latest one Goffy (GM character on a mir private server) came from a Tshirt from smellyourmum.com 'goffy the chav slayer'
dont use poison and maiden much. but i use goffy/goffix torn/torniquet/tornibot and sable on most games or forums
