yet people spend thousands on clothing and accessories because of the name attached to it...

slap the word gucci onto a top and you can bump up the price...

thats all people are really interested in now days, is the name associated with the product. i have an iphone and severly regret getting it lol, but its an iphone man... tis all about the 'i' compared to other phones i have seen it is complete crap lol... but shite happens :p

mind you i would still loooooove a macbook just for the sheer hell of saying i have one :D, unfortunatly its the way poeple work nowdays.

would you liek a ferrari, porche or a lambo?? well ofc you would... why? because they are what they are. when ever will you get a chance to really throttle the fooker to its limits without risking being killed or pulled over?? again its the name it holds that attracts people to the object ;)

I guess I am not one of those people :P I would rather get the product that is going to be most functional, usable, economical, etc. The Ferrarri, Porche and Lambo comparison really isn't right, though, since those cars cost much more because they offer much more (about 650 HP more than your average Toyota lol). If you never have the chance to push it, that is a personal problem, not a limitation with the car ;) But with the Mac, you are really not getting more. You are actually getting much less in the way of compatible hardware, software, and accessories. It is a Windows world by a long shot, so it just boggles my mind why someone would pay so much to go against the grain. I guess if you aren't much of a computer person, and don't do a lot on it. The only thing Mac people ever told me when I asked why they got it was because they always claimed the Mac was much better at graphic-design and video editing. Well, that is actually an urban legend that started back in the days when Adobe focused their products on Mac. They had the best software in the public design software field, so that success was linked to the Mac. -shrug- Oh well... lol

All and all I enjoy the user experience provided by my Macbook far more than I do the windows experience. (I've yet to customize vista to make it more minimal. But the OS is what makes the Macs shine, It is also however what makes them fail.
