i think that if any one in this whole world has done any "intellectual property damage" Its 3d realms themselves, with the massive delays, the restarts and keeping anyone that is interested in the dark, only giving them a few non-ingame images. But im happy to show thos of you that haven't seen it already, that the wait would have probably been worth it: In-game Footage. It looks like a truly great game but by the time the legal battle between 3DRealms and take-2 is over and someone has got enough money together to finish the project, it will be totally surpassed and out dated, AGAIN!!

Although i think a fan game would be awesome and lots of people, if it was any good, would enjoy it. It suddenly sounds a bit to much hassle.

EDIT: after a little more digging, duke isn't exactly dead yet.From the parent company of 3d realms , apogee software, comes a psp and ds exclusive game. The Duke Nukem trilogy : http://www.apogeesoftware.com/products/duketrilogy and i really don't like the look of it.

O and Apogee is the holder of all rights to duke nukem, and take 2 own the publishing rights to duke forever.

Well, you may be right that they have done the damage, but they have the right to send him to his grave if they so desire, since they licenses him. It would be nice to see justice done for good ole Duke, but somehow I doubt it will ever happen.

Imagine a full blown crysis style Duke nukem with naked ladies and bleeding body part everywhere!!!

I always thought that was what it was all about, naked ladies and bleeding body parts? o yer saving the planet aswell.

Duke Nukem got some of its spotlight because of that content, and when it came into the game industry (when Jazz Jackrabbit was big...). Could it compete based solely on those elements now with the likes of Grand Theft Auto, Man Hunt, Seven Deadly Sins and others? Or was it just fun being 14 and seeing pixelated boobs on the screen?
