It depends how you have PayPal set up. Usually you have a credit card or bank account linked to your PayPal account. Then whenever you want to buy something, it charges it directly to your credit card/bank account.

With a bank account, doing things like ordering from a company you have to withdraw the amount before hand and it takes 7 days to process. It's easier to just hook up a credit card if you have one.

Why don't you ask your mom to put some money in your account with her credit card and you pay her back? That is what I used to do.

If that doesn't work, local Shoppers Drugmart stores carry gift card Mastercards, they have a prepaid amount, i think its something like 15,25,50,100. You can set that up to your paypal. Takes about a day for the card to 'activate' (has to clear and be processed by mastercard as legit), somtimes its faster.
