I'd also like to point one very good game I have found, called Love. This is an MOG that one guy, ONE GUY, has been working on by himself. Yes, he did have prior experience in programming. Yes, it has been a few years. But the point is that he has been dedicated to his project through all these years, even though he worked by himself and he was doing things never seen in another online game. He also made various tools such as: a 100% automatic UVmapper, a 3D modeler, a level editor, rendering engine, a system called Verse (which allows changes in one tool to automatically take place in another tool in real-time), as well as other tools.

And I have played his game Love. $5/month for an Alpha test may seem weird, but it is one hell of a game. One of very few games where I have found places screenshot worthy. The world truly feels like an adventure, not a grind. My friend Alex and I had to explore the world searching for Tokens so that we could get more tools to make our city stronger.

The game Love, and all the tools used to make it, are a perfect example of what one person can achieve with dedication :)

Wow that "love" game is pretty awesome, very clever indeed. Myself i don't think at the moment i could build anything quite as original as that, but hey i'm only 16 i got plenty of time to develop, and learn new skills.

Btw thanks guys for your support, i really appreciate it :D , and i totally agree, this is the best and the nicest online community for gaming, and game dev.

You do have a lot of time...but in that time you can progress your game, as you stated before for family and friends to play, and build a large community that way, as friends and family talk about it, there is no telling how large it will become!! :) I myself am looking forward to your release, and everyone else's heres release...

**No more topic derailing, if you want to continue talking about what it takes to make an MMO make a topic in the apropriate section. This thread is for Rockinliam's project and it will stay that way. Any further posts NOT about the project., C&C, or ideas (for this project) will be deleted.**

- Rockinliam, great job so far, you've gone and created more than I have.. I don't have the guts to dive into creation yet.. I'm excited to see your new map that you have in mind. Keep up the great work!

Slight update, First proper map is nearing completion, although i haven't had much time available, i will be doing a lot more work on it, but i am taking leave from the project until the 19th due to exams. Also i have been playing around with fpsc and i have started a little zombie shooter which will be something else i will be doing.

Updates coming soon.
