I had a interesting but I believe false offer to buy all of Forsaken Sanctum this weekend. They said they were from a media company(i will not disclose the name yet) and they wanted to buy all the games I have made with Forsaken Sanctum and the whole storyline. Not only that but maybe going to work for them. I was skeptical from the beginning, thinking someone here was goofing with me or one of the people that tried to destroy these forums is up to no good. They said they were sending the contract this weekend but I have yet to see it.

Kinda silly if you ask me. What did they hope to gain by trying to trick me? I never believed it from the start. I have people email me or PM me here all the time trying to pay me to build them a game or even buy the FS games. Normally I can tell if they are serious and if the right offer ever came along then hell yeah I would sell or make someone a game, but why make a fake offer. Doesn't make sense.

I still don't know if it was real so I will keep you guys updated

I had the same thing happen to me, but with a movie script...got all the way to setting the date and time of meeting in Little Rock. When we were supposed to confirm the meeting, never heard from them again.

If its real, CONGRATULATIONS...if its fake, then they can ki$$ your A$$!!! Hehe...

Was it a trick to get a bank account number maybe?

Even if they did want to buy it, don't sell it. That means that there must be some decent money to be made from it and all your hard work won't be worth it in the end.

haha yeah. I am actually putting the game and tutorials on it in the gold package so others might make money from it

Yeah, something seems very wrong with that. Real professionals would not simply say "We want to buy your creation!". They would try to get it for free first! The typical way that goes is that they usually try to wow you with the resources they have at their disposal, and you would be surprised how often they get IPs for free just because the creator wants to see it "done right" so badly. It was most likely a bid to get your checking account number, or something like that. I remember someone telling me they put a PSP up on craigslist, and they got over 10 requests a day to send it to Nigeria and they had to give their account number to have the money deposited lol.
