"Tsunagari is an original tile-based multiplayer game engine written in C++. The project was begun in late 2009, and is the first project of the Omega Software Development Group. In fact, OmegaDev was founded around Tsunagari. Tsunagari was inspired by the gameplay of the cult classic game Yume Nikki. However, it has much wider ambitions.

In addition to the player-centered, tile-based movement system of Yume Nikki, Tsunagari aims to use a client-server model, allowing multiplayer support. Tsunagari also includes a number of subprojects, mostly for custom file formats that will be used by the engine. In addition, the engine will support client and server scripting, and include an intuitive world editor suite, as well as several features which are yet to be decided upon."

Brief: OmegaDev is looking for additional developers! We are specifically looking for those with prior experience with game development in C++. Tsunagari is a new project, and a lot needs to be done before a working demo can be released. Be advised that this is a free, open source project, and we cannot pay volunteers. If you are interested, read below.

-UPDATE-

The implementations for the two underlying file formats required by the Tsunagari engine, TMAP and TPKG, have been completed. Work can now begin on the client and server frameworks. Casting is still open.
