And of course, by "right side" I hope you mean the left side

depends on which end of the car you are facing ;)

Sounds interesting. One thing that stuck out, though:
"...one charge will take you up to 100 miles"
So this would just be a simple around-town car, which would limit it to the quite affluent who can pay $50k+ for an around town car that won't replace what you already have. Any intercity travel will have to be done with a traditional car, as travel simply won't be feasible with the Leaf (the problem that has plagued electric cars for decades).

Of course, the Leaf is just a concept right now, as evidenced by the strict use of computer animation to depict it. Perhaps some advancements will make it more than a toy before it becomes production ready :)

Even if this model would produce 10% of the emmissions a car now does, would be fine. Especially if those 10% emissions boosted the travel range by another 100 miles or so. Alot more people would be inclined to buy it if it could travel twice as far.. Either way I don't have 50k to spend on a car :P

The thing with the leaf, is some cars will be out and about this year. But mass production will not start until 2012. I myself would not be getting this car, as the car I want really bad for $30k, and can go 300 miles/gallon

Well, when you can carry the weight of two elephants on your roof with barely a dent you are doing something right.
hehe

If i had 50k to spend on a car I would buy a 1967 Shelby GT 500! Only gets about 10 miles to the gallon. Bam!! Take that enviroment! But at least I will look kewl .

I'd love to have a '67 Chevy Impala... great car and it's nearly as old as me, so that's a plus :)

It's one of the reasons I like to watch Supernatural! :)
