Would just like to share this pretty awesome program i have been playing with.

http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/
Adventure Game Studio allows you to create your own point-and-click adventure games, similar to the early 90's Sierra and Lucasarts adventures. It consists of an easy-to-use editor to create your games, and a run-time engine to play them.
I should say i am quite a fan of point and click adventure games, and this game engine is the kind of thing i have been looking for. So i was wondering who else has used this? I have been trying to build a little crime investigation game, but my art kinda sucks and i my animation is rather poor.

Also since it is quite easy to use and full of tutorials, i think it could be interesting to do a kind of contest or possibly an option for the community project?

I like flash very much, but i think im not good enough at it to build a full adventure game, the only thing i think is pretty poor about AGS is the way you get art and animation into the editor, is a bit pesky. The thing is though is that this program is quite good with streamlining and allowing you to focus on making a good game.

I have played with this as well, but considering that these types of games consist of almost all art with very little gameplay mechanics, they are not a good fit for me as a developer (a mostly lone-wolf programmer). I was also never a fan of point-n-click adventure games :P

I love point and click adventures, but I hated that engine so.

I'd feel better writing a custom engine alone than using it honestly.
