A CRY FOR HELP!! :( lol

ok.. possable job offer commin my way for a new section in the company i work for...

problem is the language they want i have never even heard of before let alone used or read about lol.

so i was wonderingggggg

if anyone was familiar with X++? or atleast point me in a direction to start understanding basics of it. all i know of it so far that the email didnt have a typo (was kinda hoping it did and it was ment to be C++ lol), its similar to C# and uses the .net framework.

so any pointers in where to look for a startr lol

and before anyone says anything about y am i applying for this job etc if i dont know a single thing about it... my name was put forward by my manager because he knows how quick i can learn new stuff :? lol.

Wasn't a typo. X++ is a C++ Derivative though, so at-least there you are lucky.

Good lord. Why do companies do this? What on earth can X++ do that a more well-documented, well-supported, well-integrated .NET language family member such as C#, C++/CLI, or VB.NET cannot?

EDIT: Well, nevermind. X++ is part of a whole different family of products that run on .NET (may have known that if I had read the link above lol). It is mentioned here to be part of the Microsoft Dynamics AX family. Whatever that is lol.

im kinda hoping its summit that i can pick up easily :x cuz i could really do with gettin out of the office im in lol.

though by the sounds of it im in for a good shot cuz i dnt think they wanna go outside the company n pay shite loads for someone with papers. purly for the fact they are askin in house lol. and n e 1 with them kinda papers does not need to be working in a hole like the place i do lol

il let u knows how i gets on wen i talk to the bloke in the big seat :)
