the most important thing about trying to make a game like this is graphics. There are more graphical requirements to building a game like that than coding any day. I could build a framework for a game like that in a month or so using placeholders. Artwork however I could not create...

I agree with Halls. I think he may be somewhat under-estimating the coding for a game like this, but it is still within the power of one coder to make given enough time and experience. The art, on the other hand, would likely take a full team of skilled graphic artists to create. Remember that games like this are kind of like the AAA games of the browser world. They are funded, have project managers, advertising teams, etc.

you are probably right on underestimating, I have not played it much, just logged in real quick and looked around.
