looking for a good fun 2 -4 player lan game. Strategy or FPS though a RTS would be good.

While it is not one of the genres you mentioned, I had a lot of fun playing the action-RPG Sacred 2 on LAN. It is not like your typical action-RPG, where you are being pushed from area-to-area by quest after quest. Instead, the game feels much more like an MMORPG for just you and a couple of friends. The leveling feels more like an MMO, cities are hubs for quests and trading, and many other aspects that are hard to put into words. It just feels much more like a private MMORPG than a Diablo clone.

Anyone know a good RTS for a secondary game?

Command and Conquer was fun for a few hours. It is great if you just want to blast the crap out of each other for about 30 minutes then be done.

I hope it (Sacred 2) was what you are looking for Ohh, and do keep in mind you will have to play it LAN, as it's actual online support is pretty bad. They only have about 5 servers dedicated to online play, and people end up waiting sometimes for over a half-an-hour for one to become available. But it rocks in LAN, though! Definitely the way to play it (true online play would be better off on the xbox 360 or ps3 since it has much better online on consoles).

Re-installed Sacred 1 as well. Dont have a great graphics card on all 4 machines so for the 4 players we can play the first one.

I never played Sacred 1. You will have to let me know how it goes!

me and my 4 year old daughter has been playing it quite fun. She loves buying a horse and running around and killing wolves.

just downloaded Age of empires 2, gonna try it. Not the newest game but heard it is much better than Empire Earth
