Faction Wars Revamped

Well, I actually have a confession to make. I am ZeroComp just in a new account. The reason why I have done this is basically I have come to find a new me, I matured, I actually learned stuff, and I didn't want to sound like a senseless retard who necroed a ton of posts back then and made it seem like I actually knew stuff. I just needed a new face for the new me. So today I bring you one of my old projects again. This time I will finish it even if it takes until I die. That is how determined I am to make my footprint on popular PBBGs. This idea I have worked on for 1 1/2 years and it is getting better and better every day. It will feature all the same features but this will be executed with precision and hard work. It will even include many other functions as I go. 62896dude being my coding partner/ co-owner of our team has volunteered to make my dream a reality and will help along the way. We are still working HP Destiny we just need a refreshing project just to keep our sanity. The Design Doc is on its way I am just putting every intricate detail in there right now and it will blow you guys away :)

Thanks and Spirit it has been great to be back now that I finally understand coding

Faction Wars

In 2032, Rojitar City became a popular refugee sanctuary in Canada after the infamous War on Terror had ended with the US nuking Iran and vice versa. The city quickly overflowed and was growing larger every day. They were unhappy with the current president that did nothing to stop illegal entrance and just sat back and then threw money at prostitutes and bribed other government officials. A riot was started and he was thrown out of office. They then elected Zain Bradsborough for their new president a calm collected man with jet black hair a cold stare. Little did they know the terror he was to bring this city. He announced the end of Democracy two days after being elected into the office and the new reign of Socialism and Communist views. The city became full of remorse and angered by the new corrupt Police, The Steel Titans, heavily armored men with high-tech weapons and no mercy. The Zain Bradsborough Regime was renamed to Genesis which means "The Beginning" which refered to the new beginning of terror in the city. The select few fearless people of Rojitar formed a rebellion named Hand of War, a ruthless killing squad wanting nothing but to kill Zain Bradsborough and everything in the Genesis Regime. On November 7th, 2034 Zain Bradsborough became aware of a threat in the city. As he walked out of the Rojitar Building a shot rang out, it missed Zain killing his body guard instead. After that day. The Faction War was declared, Steel Titans were fortified in numbers and equipment. Genesis soldiers and The Steel Titans marched into the slums slaughtering 1,438 suspected rebellion members. Zero of them were actually part of it. The Outskirts housed this rebellion with secrecy. They marched into the city ready to seek justice and revenge for the innocent bloodshed of their families, friends, and innocent people.


I plan on doing content packs much like WoW expansion packs unlocking new parts of the city and adding to the story (equaling the how each side is faring since I have no bias to a certain faction). The packs will be named accordingly

The mechanics are quite unique in itself
The player will register be but into a faction and thrust right into the immersive world. They will be sent to whatever their home base is for Genesis it is the Rojitar Building, Hand of War, The Outskirts, Steel Titans, Steel Corp. They have many options as they are safe from combat there. They can buy things from shops, fight other factions NPCs to gain rep, chat with friends, and many other things. Think of these as Hubs. When they decide to enter Rojitar they are thrust into "Entry Points" which are pre defined squares which cannot be captured by opposing factions. They then will try to take over territory and fight opposing factions in a realtime gridbased map. When the player levels up, they can then distribute skill points, learn abilities and have access to new equipment.

Now you gain ranks the more you fight in this war. Perks and special equipment are rewards.

Good job on the storyline, something a lot of games lack (including my own). Looking forward to the progress of this game as well as y'alls HP game, which I have been playing after every update. :)

Well my internet got shut down for nearly a month and I came across the game info in my file cabinet and I began thinking about this game again and now my internet is finally back on and now my goal resumes to finish this project. So, I giving myself a few weeks to catch up on coding/ work on getting things organized but I will work diligently once again and should see some major results by march!

Now that I have all the rust shaken off, I have begun to draw out my design for the homepage and will hopefully get it actually started tomorrow That is if OpenSuSe ever wants to cooperate with me and install correctly! I have wasted two days now trying to install Gentoo on my laptop and need a quick Linux distro to get working :P

Got a LOT done today so far:

Register and login are now functional placing you in a faction on register.
Identifying what faction you are and changing the index shops accordingly.
A bit of design and about nearly 50 lines of CSS
