Was looking up how people pronounce xampp, when i stumbled upon a thread with this topic...

So how do YOU pronounce the following?

XAMPP
MySQL
SEO
CHMOD
META
Ubuntu

Feel free to add more. Here is how I pronounce them

XAMPP - X-amp
MySQL - My S-Q-L
SEO - S-E-O
CHMOD - C-H-Mod
META - Metta
Ubuntu - uh-bun-too

Here is how I pronounce them:

XAMPP - zamp
MySQL - My S-Q-L
SEO - S-E-O
CHMOD - C-H-mod
META - meta
Ubuntu - Oo-boon-too (I figured since it is an African word, it would probably be pronounced like the typical international U sound of "oo", which most non-English, non-German languages seem to follow)

About MySQL, though, there is an oddity in that a lot of people pronounce "MS SQL Server" like "sequel server", because SQL Server is a direct descendant of one of the early SQL predecessors "Sequel". So oftentimes MySQL says the letters, while MS products and a few others in the direct Sequel lineage pronounce it as "sequel".

I pronounce it 'morporg'. I did that the other day in a games shop and they were wondering what the hell I was talking about - I'd completely forgotten I'd basically made it up on my own!

^hahahaha that just made my day, I always noticed that throughout the Mmorpg tutorials, but figured it was just me that didn't pronounce it that way
