Advertising?

Okay well, I've just finished Version 1.0.5 of my new Text-Based MMORPG and I've tried to advertise on several websites and I can not seem to obtain any new players. The only players I have gotten are BETA Testers and such from Indie-Resource. Any ideas on a good website or place I can post my website and get more than just a few players? Also, I know text-based games aren't very popular these days, especially the medieval ones. But I am attempting to change that as I will be creating a whole Mobile-Only version of my game that can be easier played on a phone than a computer, and the regular version can be played on both. Check out my game at
http://www.cmmorpg.net and let me know how I am doing and what I could do to improve. Thanks!
If this needs moved feel free I am kinda new to these forums so I haven't gotten the hang of everything.

Def suggest using Facebook...by creating a group or page. Invite friends, and get them to do the same...thats how I have OuterNet going

What kinds of ads are you making? If they are text-only Google-Adsense style ads, that probably won't get much attention. Game ads tend to be very visual-based, so I would suggest making some snappy banner ads. It doesn't matter that the game is text-based, as most people will figure that out when your banner ad says it is 100% browser-based!
Also, submit to add your game to PBBG catalog websites. Try
PBBG.org,
ONRPG.com,
free browser game list blogs, and more. There are a ton of them out there to submit to! Also add your game yourself to
the Wikipedia multiplayer browser game list!
Probably the issue so far has been that your ads have been in places where people aren't looking for games. Concentrate your games exposure to places that cater to players looking for new games!

Thanks for the advice Jack. I'm going to start advertisement as soon as I finish up Closed BETA. Also, I have given the code word for BETA testers on my site incase you wanna check the game out again one more time. I know the last time you tried it out it didn't have much, its much farther in development now though.
