So I was looking forward to asking a very noobish question, I have little skill in coding but what I wanted to focus on was trying to build a mobile application, what coding languages do I need to learn and master before I can start working on doing this. Please help this little noob out.

Start with Java as your programming language or start learning HTML5, CSS3 and Javascript. Although I must say that, if you choose the latter, you still need a programming language to help out on the front.

Wouldn't Javascript be the language they would be using on the front-end? Or did you mean the back-end?

Ah my mistake, indeed. If you did choose the latter in my previous point ( thuss learning the FRONT END ) you would still need to learn a programming language for the backend, meaning you either need Java or C# or Objective-C. And, having my background in Java, I recommend Java. Not because of my background but since Objective-C is a pain in the ***. C# is used for Windows Phone and you can use it however I don`t recommend it for now, because the new WP ( 8 ) will not use C# any longer. Wait.. I don`t even know that for sure.. Hmmz will get back to that, if this is not the case and C# is still used in WP8, it`s your choice, you want to go Windows Phone or Android? Either works. Once you have more experience, you can start looking at Objective-C.
