Opinions and comments on the latest CD cover I am designing.
The words and things are just place holders basically. Will get them right later.
First version
Second version

I think the second version captures a moodyness.

I honestly have to say I don't really like the low-color "banding" effect much. It reminds me too much of mid-90's computing when gifs that looked like that were the norm, and it just kind of lends an older feel to me. I like the pictures a lot. Maybe you could try using the same images and layout (which I think are awesome) and a couple of other filters or effects? How does it look without any effects with the raw images?

I was actually curious about who Trigger Root is, and after searching them online, I see they kind of have a trend in their posters and album covers that this is following (houses in the woods with a low-color effect). In light of that, I really do like it

Here is their website I built them and did all the design work on
http://triggerroot.com/
You can listen to their music as well on the media page
I was in the studio with them yesterday working on the new album. Very fun.
