I just watched this IGN video today and thought it was too great not to share. It is about an absolute piece of trash game, "Otaku Dash" on iOS (no idea if it is still up or not). It must be seen to be believed.

Of course, there are others that are more offensive, but for other reasons, such as Super Monster Bros by Adventure Time Pocket Free Game. And yes, that is the name of the game. It tries to get you to spend $100 on a character right off the bat. Then you get 5 fireballs to fight enemies with, and 30 more is a dollar (which you would go through in about 1 minute).

Both of these games represent the absolute worst of mobile gaming, distilled down until it is digital sewer sludge. The commentary on the videos is quite funny, though.

What scares me is that Apple allows such super garbage which is nearly a scam (or fully), yet the refuse other more useful or legal things... Sorry Apple, once again you fail in any possible ways in my eyes.

I have heard that all of the games made by the developer of "Super Monster Bros..." have been removed as being scam-like. And I believe Otaku Dash has been removed as well, but I am not sure for what (possible allegations of an incomplete product).

While Microsoft's policies for app submission have been called Draconian, clunky and slow, and have probably contributed to their having a smaller app selection, the fact that MS actually rejects apps based on quality is quite novel when compared to the App Store and Play. They will just tell you in their rejection notice that the quality is not up to par.

If all stores would be as picky as Steam we might have a chance at development and getting our games seen. 1 billion apps, 999,999,000 are all crap.

Saw the video and thought: Wow.. i would never do something like that... not talking about graphics or gameplay... the logic behind it.. omfg

I do know a guy that put a app for $100 up that was called something like "This app does nothing" and it literally did nothing. he made $2500 in sales before apple took it down.

There have been a few of those lol. Someone put one up on Android for the max allowable price (this was earlier on, so I think it was $10,000) and it was just called "Thank You".

Luckily I think there are screenings in place now to prevent apps like these.

People are stupid indeed..

Is it any better when they are subtle about it??
