Hey guys! I know I'm not an active user here, I just drop in every now and then, read the posts and if something I feel really needs my reply, I reply. But I do feel this community has helped me a lot and taught me a lot. I really respect the knowledge most people on this forum possess and I'd like to thank all of you'll for making this community a welcoming and knowledgeable one. Because of all I have learnt from this community, I felt it'd be right to share my recent joy with the community that helped me get it.

As a few of you'll know I am currently a first year computer engineering student. I recently applied for an on campus job at a CS based research facility, Calit and I got it! :D I wont be doing much of research work, I'll be joining a research team and handling their website administration. They basically want me to animate their entire research using javascript and display it nicely on their site. I am really excited to start my first real job :D

Congrats! I use Google Charts on my current job to show data nicely and love it. Also d3.js is pretty rad too.

Those seem cool. but I wont be showing data much, it will be more of visualizing physical systems. Like when you go to a website of a car, you can rotate it, change its color etc etc.
I'll be doing something similar but with a huge computer system that spans numerous research facilities at and off my university.

It is a proper paid one, it is funded by NSF, so it's pretty good pay for a university student as well, considering I'm required to be working only 10~ hours a week
