So we have just been hit with possibly the worst spam bot flood we have ever had. The "Say Hello" forum section is now completely covered in page-after-page of spam posts. They were coming in by the minute.
To stop the bleeding, I have changed registration to "by admin approval" until I can get things cleaned up. Maybe this closing down will also stop the flow of the attack. But there are hundreds to clean up now.
I figured I would make a post about this as you have no doubt noticed all of the span in that section. I am reading-up on the best way to quickly and easily get this stuff cleaned-up.

Luckily it was from only a handful of "users", so I was quickly able to ban them and delete all of their posts.Gunner wrote:cool. just wondering though how did you solve this?
It looks like they are trying to come back. I will see how it goes today.

Would say it goes badly currently. I'm impressed by the quantity of junk.

Okay so I got it knocked out. The site should be clear now. I will discuss further in the Slack since I am pretty sure the enemy has a fly on the wall.
