How to do multiplayer?

Anyone help me I am making a sort of like a left 4 dead hold out game where you are stuck in a house and you have to surviv wave after wave and I need this to be multiplayer for it to be at its full potential
Coding-PHP, Javascript, C++, HTML, mySQL
Modeling/Art-Blender, GIMP
Games-Unity, Game Maker 8
