How do you make a 2d or 3d game?

I'm a noob to this stuff I don't know where to start advice please?

Well for 2D I recommend Construct as a good starter program.

For 3D look at Unity

yeah start off slow, for the love of god start off slow. Learn a little about what goes into making a game and start with a simple game. Within no time you will be up and making fantastic games of your dreams.

Most places, if you went there and asked that question, they would tell you DO NOT BOTHER and GIVE UP!

But what I have learned here in the time that I have been here...this is not the case. Best suggestion is start off really slow (like Halls stated) and follow along with his tutorials on making an MMORPG so you can understand the basics of what goes into it.

Start with an idea, start writing things down, organize, then put together concept art, then start creating the art 2D or 3D. If 2D use a graphic imaging software (Paint Shop Pro, Photoshop), 3D pull out our fav software (Blender, 3dsMax, etc) start building all your resources. Take your time, have fun with it...get frustrated, step away from it for a day or two and relax...

ok thanks everyone I will start working on things starting with a simple fps creator to get me warmed up and used to 3d then I will make my own graphics and game and stuff like that.
