Forsaken Sanctum- Truley The final chapter

Have a project in the works but not much media? How about an idea you are turning into a project? Maybe a game design document you want to start with. This is the place.

100+ scripts cannot be easily fixed. Thats the whole issue with this. But frankly I don't care. I am even more ticked that they deleted the thread. Why? To hide once again the problems. God that aggravates me. It only shows guiltiness.

anyways lets not dwell. Maybe there is more to the story that I know but from the PMs and logs I have read there was a great injustice done here and I have no interest in dealing with Solstar much after this. These are my opinions. Please accept them as nothing more.

Alright.

I simply wanted to give the other side of the argument, so that the others on this site dont view SolStar as some evil company...

They delete threads all the time. I saw it happen numerous times.

As far as the issue goes, the one pivotal point I am questioning is this: Did Solstar force the update? I remember that they do have some very tight security on RC, and a remote system set up on application startup that checks to see if the user is valid, on a valid system, etc. I could see it forcing an update, but I am not sure. If the developer had to update, that is ridiculous. You can keep an old Windows version for as long as you want, for example, as long as you realize at some point it won't be supported anymore.

If it was just a matter that he wanted to update to the newer version, and they broke backwards compatibility, that is just another misstep by Solstar to add to the now miles-long list. If that is the case, deleting the thread would be the worst part. I have seen them try to sweep so much dirt under the rug by this point that it must be standing 4 feet high.
The indelible lord of tl;dr

yes thank you viper for some clarification on the issue and helping to support the other side of the story. Thats the difference between us and the thread at RC forums. It got waaay out of control over there. Like I said I do not know the whole story.. Solstar is not evil. I am just concerned with the future of my own project.

yes they did force the update.
