The only online games I really play are Left 4 Dead 2 and Garrys Mod.
I don't play MMOs anymore, too big a risk of getting addicted to one, and that's a very bad thing with me.
What do you play?

I am mad at myself because I wasted a good 3 years of my life playing an mmo that they screwed up really bad and I sorta hate it nowSakar wrote:The only online games I really play are Left 4 Dead 2 and Garrys Mod.

Re: What do you play?
I hear you. It is kind of a catch-22 for me. I feel bad I wasted so much time playing MMOs and not working on them, but if I hadn't played them, I wouldn't want to work on themZeroComp wrote:I am mad at myself because I wasted a good 3 years of my life playing an mmo that they screwed up really bad and I sorta hate it nowSakar wrote:The only online games I really play are Left 4 Dead 2 and Garrys Mod.

I've never been that big of a fan of MMO's. I've played my fair share of them and sunk a decent amount of time in them, but frankly I get bored.
Now, Diablo II on the other hand..I've most likely wasted months of time on there. Sickens me when I think how much better I'd be at modelling or how much further along I could be on a game project if I had spent all that time on it instead of playing D2..That was by far my worst gaming "addiction" I ever had. However...it was totally worth it

Going by the time frame youre saying you played it for Im guessing you played SWG from when it started... if so then it shouldnt have been a surprise that SONY would screw up something good.ZeroComp wrote:I am mad at myself because I wasted a good 3 years of my life playing an mmo that they screwed up really bad and I sorta hate it nowSakar wrote:The only online games I really play are Left 4 Dead 2 and Garrys Mod.

Re: What do you play?
I'm playing Team Fortress 2 allot (though now that my computer is down it's been a while).
Re: What do you play?
I played it for a while...but I had a hard time reading the text, it would often be out of its "designated box" or break in the middle of 10 words in one sentence...lolChris wrote:Used to play Voyage Century, brilliant game, very addictive, cost me lots of money XD.
I know what you mean with Gala-Net..I played Rappelz for a while. It's a really cool game, but it just sucks because of all the grinding you have to do. It got way to repetitive.Jackolantern wrote:I don't really have a lot of faith in Gala-Net (aka GPotato). Their games are either super-cutsey anime styled, or very blah and boring like Rappelz and Corum. Maybe they will turn it around, though. However, for a F2P WoW-clone, I would check out Runes of Magic. I know a few people who have played it, and it about as close to WoW-clone as you will get F2P.Zerk wrote:@Halls, the one for Wii? Anyone heard of Allods? It's supposed to be slightly similar to WoW (graphics, race, and class), but is free to play and has a strange theme...I'm thinking about jumping in the closed beta testing.
http://allods.gpotato.com/ there it is
I played in the Closed Beta for a few days and it's way better than rappelz, no grinding so far. When open beta releases, I'll probably get really into it.
I thought about joining Runes of Magic, but it has a boring name lol.

Re: What do you play?
That is basically what I meant about them. Every MMO has a grind, whether it is quest grinding, empire-build grinding, mob grinding, etc., but it just depends on how interesting they can keep it. All of the Gala-Net games I have played so far have not done well in keeping it fresh. Maybe they have learned their lesson and will make the new one better.Zerk wrote:I know what you mean with Gala-Net..I played Rappelz for a while. And I definitely suggest checking out RoM. It is by far the F2P game with the most depth, and it is the most like a P2P game. Don't worry about the name. The name is a bit boring because it is translated from another language, and they didn't really spruce it up (they just took it literally).
