I am unsure on what exactly makes these "3D". You can't just throw 2D media into a goggle system and expect to make it properly display in Virtual Boy-esque 3D. 120 Hz refresh is nice, but worth the $450 for a goofy goggle set? I am not convinced, and see this as a silly product that no one will buy because A. it is very radican and B. people will need to see it in action before splurging for it, and most won't have have the opportunity to.

Yes I was at CE-Bit in germany last year. (One of the biggest electorinics shows, even Arnold Schwarzenegger was there...cool :P )
Anyway there nvidia showed this off, on a 120" projector with Tomb Raider Underworld. Was actually really impressed by how well the 3D worked!
When I tried it on the computer screen it worked quite well too, but if you move your head a bit in the wrong angle it don't look to good.

But if you got the money and want a cool experience then it is diffenetly worth it :D

It makes sense, that the angle that you view the game changes the way the game looks.
