First of all hello to all.
My name is Alex, i am 23 and i live in Romania.
I like and want to play MMORPG's but my time is limited and i cannot keep up with players that stay connected 8-10-12 or more hours a day. That is when i discovered the web browser games (tribal wars and travian which the most played here). After playing both type of games i decided to try create one that takes the main point of interest in both of the (and maybe others).
The story of the game : It will not have any as 90% of the players don't even bother to read it and as someone said once "when someone enters a game he wants something to kill not read pages of story and tutorials and stuff.
Main action of the game will be of course grinding (farming) for gold/crafting items/experience etc. and from here the ideas are :
1. 80% of the items can only be obtained by crafting
2. To craft an item it will require a small amount of a large variety of crafting materials (with this i hope to make people:
a) kill a big variety of monsters not only the one that gives the best experience
b) do a lot of trading/ sharing of materials between them)
3. I will try to include the "party" system in an attempt to create interaction between players. The party created will have access to mob/bosses that have better gold/item drop and rate and gives more exp than normal ones.
4. The guild will also be present and the will fight for cities/ territories etc (Thus including PVP or Guild vs Guild).
5. The system will not be click to hit (as in most web browser MMORPG) but click to fight until you click stop or you die.
I know this maybe isn't original and maybe it was done before, but i never saw it and on the premises that the web browser games only require 10-30 minutes a day to play they are not competitors (Tribal wars and Travian even if they have different developers they advertise each other) and 1 can play both games.
I am open to ideas and other things that can be implemented so i am waiting for your feedback and opinions.
Best regards,
IceRidder

Re: Hi
Welcome!
And remember it is not about having a 100% unique idea, since almost no one's game will be. It would likely be far too confusing to players for a game to be like nothing they have ever seen. The magic is in the implementation. It is in how well you can turn those ideas into a finished product.
