Project For All Of Us

Hey everyone, well just about all of you are here because you are programmers or artists or just here because you want to start to learn more about programming/artism (if thats a word ). So my idea is for us to practically bring our minds together to make a big application/game/website type of thing.

I really think that if all of us, or most of us, really did work together we could create something really great and get it off it's feet. I go through this forum everyday looking at the new great games being made, the great ideas of all of you, and amazing art work.

If any of you would want to do something like this then leave a comment. All we need those is an idea. Something that could really use all of our talents not just one certain thing. If someone is good with php (which some of us are) then put in php. If some are good with Unity (which some of us are) then put in Unity. If any of use are good with webdevelopement (which some of us are) then add that. Then the people good with artwork would contribute to helping the people with unity. I really think we could make something great.

Very true. We have a community project going on now, and have had several in the past. In the end, it can be really hard to pull people together for it. Some people make games for money, others just as a hobby. Some people specialize in PHP, and others specialize in C# and .NET (two basically incompatible technologies), etc.

What would be a great thing for the community would be for users to share their knowledge in tutorial form. We have a good cache of community-created tutorials already, but there is basically a limitless amount of topics to cover and a wildly varying amount of skills in our community.
