I`m hoping you can help me out here. I need some very clean but cool names for different factions of the game. The context is space ( space travel, interstellar travel et cetera ) and I`m looking for some cool names. You know? Like.. hum.. Star Wars, which had "The Republic", first "Galactic Empire" and other names like: "The independents" or something like: "The Federation" or "Red Faction". I`m not sure which ones to choose and i was kinda hoping you could help me out on this. All input is welcome, if you have a cool name, please submit them.
Oh, and each faction has like 20 to 50 systems attached to it. So kingdoms et cetera aren`t really a viable option. Republic, empire, federation et cetera are the names which probably should work best. But, you know, "the republic" sounds kinda cheesy. I`m leaning to names like: "The Academia Collective" or "The Phidias Federation of Trade" or "Skepticus Independent Systems". Something like that, original. I was hoping to get 4 very nice names.
Each faction has it`s own goal. Or, wait let me rephrase: focus. One faction is focused on trade, one is focused on Conquer/offense, one is focused on diplomatic success/trade and the last group ( indepent systems ) is focusing on all aspects ( defense, offense, diplomacy, society, culture et cetera )
However, this is stil open for debate, if you have a good suggestion, please feel free to post it
