Database design software

I am looking at planning a database. Does anyone know of any good free database design packages. I need to see the relationships between the tables.

There are loads, smart draw is probably one of the more popular ones.

I'd recommend drawing it on paper.

i got a white board where i design the databases and the game-systems like attack and stuff, like i make some diagrams that are connected. It works very good for detecting errors.
