This really seems a common feeling amongst coders?I hope you guys can check out my new game some time, it sucks coding without having someone to talk to or give ideas/suggestions. I'll try to post some screenshots soon under a different topic.
I'm just idling throughts around of a sort of patronage system where we kind of adopt for a while a handful of games, leaving a comment each week in their thread (or for those games that can, actually leaving comments in the game itself, in special areas that show off new stuff) for X number of weeks. Which games are temporarily adopted could be in ones signature. Perhaps 'my adopted games for october' sort of.
When you're coding you don't always have some brand new shiney thing to try and get comments on. The idea of temporary adoption is that even if a game is 'forever', that makes it rather excuslive. And someone could re-adopt it latter anyway.
I'm just chewing over the idea. I mean, we all seem to be somewhat on the same wavelength anyway, so it could be mutually beneficial.
