Are my emails marked as SPAM?

Post by vitinho444 »

Hey guys, so some time ago i began searching for companies to send my games, just to get some acknowledge, i send them emails with some information and my website.. I already sent to Miniclip (submitting my game to their website) and no answer...
My question here is: Are my emails getting marked as SPAM right away? Or how can i be sure the other person received the email in the inbox? Like i don't know if they don't answer because they don't read the email or because they think i suck :P

PS: Im sensing these emails using GMAIL.

More then likely. Most of the spam I receive is from bots with gmail accounts so anything @gmail goes into my spam folder.

I have noticed some of my emails and others from gmail being marked as spam. Google needs to fix this.

I got this auto response from miniclip:
Thank you for contacting us. This email is checked regularly during business hours (9-5:30 GMT). Unfortunately, due to the amount of e-mails we receive it may take some time to respond. We appreciate your patience and understanding.

To advertise please contact us at: advertise@miniclip.com

Please feel free to leave comments and suggestions at: feedback@miniclip.com
Does this mean the email arrived and will be displayed on the inbox?

I would think so. The auto-respond would likely only be triggered if it got to the inbox.

You will always be better off with your website's email. The problem with public email domains is that people use them for all kinds of nefarious activities. As Gmail is one of the most popular email services, some people will have it blacklisted.

As far as how long it can take, that really varies. It could take a few days to a few months. The best responses would probably come in about 2 weeks. Less than that is likely a straight-out rejection, and way longer probably means it is being ignored. Don't let any rejections get you down, as it can be for many reasons besides liking or disliking your game. These reasons include: they don't have the funds presently to invest in an outside game (beyond your cost for a license, they also need to market it at least a bit), they are focusing all their energies on internal games, they are avoiding looking at other's games for legal reasons, your game doesn't fit into their existing strategy, etc. Just keep at it!

Wow thanks a lot that really inspired me :)

Well, i always see in websites like this that they say if they say no, they will tell you exactly what it's missing, and walk you through the change. If they just say no, i got in the first post a thousand of websites to try :)
