CRM software

Post by Chris »

I'm going to start a venture into software development and am going to offer various services. I've hit a hole that needs fixing. The services that I'm going to offer will include eCommerce, so I would like to offer cliënts CRM and possibly ERP software to store all their valued information in.

I'm looking for the best CRM software there is. What I want is a really easy to manage and extend system that can integrate into outlook.

I was thinking of Microsoft Dynamics CRM but when it comes to small companies the prices are way too high. Unless there is a cheaper way of hosting dynamics CRM.

Also I need it to have extensible services, basically it has to have an API that I can call, preferably a WebService. I would love to offer clients custom software that can pull data based on certain scenarios. Like a tablet app that reserves dinner tables for restaurants. Or mobile app to synchronize leads.

Basically I need the most extensible and user friendly CRM pacakge on the market, that considers a budget.

Zurmo looks pretty nice and is open source. I knew a guy who used it for his business and swore by it. I am not sure about Outlook integration, but at least it is open source and appears well-supported, so it is possible if it isn't in the core that the community has added it themselves.

I am using Zurmo that allowed me to integrate outlook with Sitelink self storage software. According to my experience, Zurmo is one of the best CRM applications.
