Ubuntu on tablets

Post by hallsofvallhalla »

I have a HP touchpad that I actually love. It dual boots to Android and Web OS and there have been people even get Win 8 RT running on it.

I actually want a triple boot with Ubuntu. Anyone tried Ubuntu on a tablet?

I have not tried it myself, but I would have to wonder if the interface could be a problem. The Windows, even before 8, that came on those tablets were typically somewhat touch-enabled. I just think it could be tough to get desktop Ubuntu to work properly on it. I would assume it has a soft keyboard, but can you make it pop-up automatically when you click in a textbox in the browser? I have no idea. Will you be able to click on tiny window close buttons with your finger? Again, not sure.

Maybe check around on YouTube, since I would figure if anyone has it working good they have probably shared videos
