What a piece of crap! Imagine them taking 20 random pages from the book then making a movie around those 20 pages and not adding anything else to it... as that is basically what they did. It is like watching cliff notes. It is extremely boring and even the hero is not a hero you can really give a crap about.
Really a bad movie and a total failure. Cannot believe Harrison Ford bought into this.

I swear I just looked at the title of the thread before clicking it and thought "He hated it!"

I'm not even going to see Ender's Game. My girlfriend loved the book, but I've heard so many bad reviews, I told her I wouldn't see it with her. She didn't much want to see it either.

That is the problem when you make a movie of a book. How can you portray the book through a movie and give the book justice? You would need to do the book to the letter. Look at The Hobbit, there are already inconsistencies in it and it turned me off from that series. Even the LOTR series was a bit inaccurate. Read the Silmarilion, and the books and you will know what I mean.
I would almost prefer an offshoot from the book, using the same realm/world, but throwing in a story that isn't in the books and holds true to the setting.
Boycott, educate, boycott!
