Eclipse in the web browser!!
I have done it! I got eclipse working through a web browser. Admins/map editors can even edit the maps right through the browser.
This may not be exciting for others but I think it rocks.

Re: Eclipse in the web browser!!
well i had it all configured nicely on my local server. I threw up a quick example though the windows havent been configured.
http://forsakensanctum.com/eclipsetest/index.html
as with all eclipse games you need to have the library files installed.
http://www.freemmorpgmaker.com/ELI-2-Beta.exe
when you get in make sure the ip is
68.35.208.118
if it isnt just change it in ipconfig on the main screen. This quick version is something i was working on a while back, its all goofy, but shows an example. If no one else is you can log into test account and hit f1 for map editor to play around.
the login window and ip window drops behind the browser windo, just pull it up, its fixed on the local server. Will fix here later.
enjoy

Hmmm..I got a "server is down" response. I figured it may be the IP, and when I tried hitting "IPconfig" on the main screen, it just went to an empty gray box.
Even so, this is already looking amazing. This would turn Eclipse from a mediocre, downloaded, installed MMORPG application to a high-quality browser-based MMORPG engine.

the empty grey box is because the ipconfig box went behind your browser. It detaches. Try again, and look at your taskbar.

Doh! Believe it or not, I did read that part. It just didn't sink in. I will try it again.hallsofvallhalla wrote:the empty grey box is because the ipconfig box went behind your browser. It detaches. Try again, and look at your taskbar.
EDIT: I tried it again, but when I click on the "IPConfig" button, the engine credits end up in that popped-under window. If I try to click a bit lower (because "Credits" is right above ipconfig), it quits which is the button I actually clicked on. If I try to go higher and click on the "Credits" button, I think I am going to what I believe to be the account creation screen, but I cannot get it to work. Is this some weirdness that is only happening in my browser?
