Development exercises

We can all use inspiration at times so I thought we could do some development exercises.

You are on an island, 1 square mile in size. The island has the average fauna. Palm trees, weeds, grass, a small rocky hill with fresh water pouring from it. In the waters surrounding the island are man eating sharks hungry for flesh. You were left here for dead by a diabolical madman out to make you suffer. All you have is the clothes on your back.

He left you with the knowledge of the island is in the direct path of a hurricane within 2 days time. 5 days after this the island is being used as a testing grounds for a new bomb. This makes the island off limits to ANY AND ALL rescue boats, ect..

All of this new stress and harmful situations have made you find a new power within yourself. You choose the power but it cannot being any sort of travel power, teleport, flying, super swimming, ect.. The power must be a simple power, not a super destructive ray that could destroy the whole world.

The object of this exercise is not just to escape but to find a creative escape that would be suitable for a hero as yourself. Describe here how you would escape.

I wouldn't escape, I would want the power to teleport some ladies to the island and they would return back before anything bad happened. Might as well die happy

Lol but seriously,

I would actually simply want iceman's ability, just freeze the water under my feet and sliiiide my way home. Or if that isn't allowed, the ability to shapeshift, make myself a massive shark or something, so nothing messes with me and I can casually swim home. I geus you could call those 'travel' powers but really if you are going to escape you can't do it by "boiling water until it rains and then the batman symbol appears then they test the nuke. The end."

Two words... MEAT VISION!!! you could meat vision a pile of meat on one side of the island while you weaved a raft from palm leaves on the other. The sharks are out of the picture and you're good..... ok i confess i didn't invent meat vision i saw it somewhere and thought it would fit...

Umm.. i guess the ability to control sharks would come in handy... other than that i got nothing

I would want a super digging power. I would be hoping that the hurricane would bring enough water to fill some of the holes and craters that I dug. I would have dug plenty of tunnels that the water would just cover the entrances. Don't know anything about the new bomb so I would just hope it would be a dud.

I would want to be able to breath under water. I would figure out how to kill one of the sharks. Maybe the hurricane would wash a shark on shore. I would then use it as a suit and be able to swim away from the island

My power is the ability to talk to animals. I would ask the birds to fly me off the island.

Shapeshift ability to a cockroach...

Would be completely useless in every other situation, except here..Sharks wouldnt eat a cockroach, I could burrow under something for the hurricane, and cockroaches are the only thing that can survive nuclear blasts, I'd imagine other bombs too.
