Looking for a moderator!
Indie-Resource is looking for a Moderator. I have been real busy as of late and can't always be here to fix things or answer questions.
I am looking for someone that can keep active. Create new topics and basically be friendly and helpful. If you are interested please PM me.

I'm not applying for this because I feel this should go to someone who is good at coding, not that modellers can't be helpful but most of the questions around here are coding based
Felt that I should input who should get it. And I feel that anyone who is strong in coding is worthy of being a mod.

Re: Looking for a moderator!
coding isn't a necessity. We get a lot of modeling questions too. As long as the mod can help get the question answered or at least point in the right direction all is good. My main concern is keeping the forums active and flowing with the latest news and discussion.
i have already had a few entrants and to be honest it will be hard for me to make a decision like this. I have 2 ideas on this.
1. Take all the entrants and let the community vote.
2. I have have been wanting to really turn up the notch in these forums and this site. I need to get rolling on getting the site done and better organized. Well today is finally my last day on a huge project at work and I am finishing some needed things for other sites. I have some more time so now is the time to act. I am thinking of having a few job titles. Things like someone for latest news, someone for the art department, finding free resources, ect..a general mod, a events coordinator ect.... ech person would have their own pages and a admin panel for them.,
gimme some comments and suggestions people.

Re: Looking for a moderator!
what you are propsoing halls sounds like a great idea .
then your forums can be easy accessed and ordered for easy viewing .
and i also think Last Known Hero would be great as a Mod due to his knowledge in designs.

That second idea is pretty awesome actually. I'd be willing to see how that works out.

Agreed, I like the different job titles..however I feel it may be too much for the current amount of activity. With how many people post actively, 75% of the posters would end up being modsLast Known Hero wrote:That second idea is pretty awesome actually. I'd be willing to see how that works out.
I think just 1 or 2 moderators would work for now until we start expanding a bit more user-wise.

Re: Looking for a moderator!
thanks for the feedback and the willingness to help
I have thought about it and have come up with a decision. Now that I have some free time available I am going to complete the site and these tutorials I have been trying to put out. The more tuts I make the more members we get. That and word of mouth. We are only growing here. The community here is friggn awesome and I am lucky to be a part of it.
I am going to finish up the dev diary page, free resource page, dev article pages, and a few others. Then assign members to lead them.
We had a lot of people apply so the decisions will be hard. Everyone who applied are more than capable of the job. It may be a few more days before things are up though and decisions are made.

I can probably speak for everyone here when I say that WE are lucky to be a part of a community that YOU created. That not only was one of the best ideas out there, but also the willingness to help us with whatever problem we may have to get our game up and running, or to get the game started when we had no idea how.
THANKS...

Re: Looking for a moderator!
I have to agree I have learned so much here. I like the community as well. Everyone seems to be so helpful. Since I have learned so much I am hopeful to be able to give back one day. I have been really busy lately myself and haven't been ble to spend as much time here as I would like.I can probably speak for everyone here when I say that WE are lucky to be a part of a community that YOU created.
