I have calculated the estimated bandwidth costs for Impedimenta, and just though about reducing it and offering a better experience to members.
Is having an optional "high quality" graphics pack to download feasible? If the graphics are not detected, like on a public computer, it will display the default med-res ones. Any opinions?
Pax.

Re: Graphics pack
yeah that would be a good idea. Because I know my computer goes slow when it is playing high quality games and the option for either one would be awesome

Re: Graphics pack
yep it seems browser games get much of their attention from school/work PCs that have little bandwidth or hardware and no way to upgrade them.
Might want to go with high graphics pack then see how many people say they can't do it or it runs slow. It's rare to find anyone with that slow of a connection these days.

You can also check out some of the tutorials and tools online for the CSS sprite technique. It can save quite a bit of loading time for games that use large amounts of graphics.
