Cron Scheduling question

I was setting up Cron Jobs for my game at godaddy and I noticed that the smallest time interval you can choose is every 5 minutes. I just wanted to check to see if maybe I'm missing something and its possible to have a cron run every few seconds?

Usually the every few second scripts can be done by login, as in you do all the figuring of the script during login or page refresh.
