How hard is vBulletin? And using custom coding? I may be contracted as a programmer for the Mustang Club of America. http://www.mustang.org and they use vBulletin, using PHP/MySQL.
Any information would be greatly appreciated.
I spoke with one of the leaders and they told me what is needing done and would pay on an hourly rate:
Custom updates that cannot be done through the admin panel.
Some clean up work that needs done, regards to new account registration - issues there.
They have a magazine called Mustang Times and have weekly fees that go out to the publisher, this needs automated.
Automation to remove old accounts.
Implement a car registry to track the car over time.

Re: vBulletin
doesn't sound too hard but sounds like a pain in the a$$. I have never used vbulliten so I a am not sure.
Re: vBulletin
Don't modify the board core or you invalidate it and they won't offer support. For what you may have to do its pretty easy. Like SMF Vbul has some nice Server Side stuff.
Wouldn't be a pain in the ass though. Vbul should already have some support for removing old accounts anyway, most message boards have task automation in them. The only thing that would be difficult really may be the thing with sending funds to the publisher the rest of that is alright.
EDIT: Really, booty?

Well, that definitely sounds like 2 weeks of difficult, hourly-paid coding for sure then!Noctrine wrote: Vbul should already have some support for removing old accounts anyway, most message boards have task automation in them.
