Hello,

I am Tony "XCalPro" Oliveira from Massachusetts. I came here after watching Hall's tutorials on PHP MMO Framework. I look forward to seeing more of those.

I have been creating 3D Art with 3D Max since 2005. Created some assets for Poser community. A few years ago I started getting into game development. Took some courses at community college, modded some games like Ghost Recon and NeverWinter Nights. A couple of years ago, myself and two others created a 2D point and click adventure game using AGS. We only got as far as a playable demo. During that time I also learned PHP and MySQL. I have also dabbled with Unity3d and Photon.

Over the past year, I have been working on an MMO using the HeroEngine with a west coast group. I don't see that project getting past the concept stage which brings me here. I would like to create my own browser based MMO using PHP/MySQL as that is a more realistic goal and something that I would be able to accomplish on my own.

And yeah, a lot of us came to PBBG building after reality set in as far as making a 3D MMORPG lol. I started out the same way. But then I found that I loved web development in general, including HTML5, Javascript, PHP, Flash, etc. It also seems to be the way gaming is heading anyway

No, I am not on MMOKit or MMOmaker. I am active on HeroEngine forum though.
