Has anyone used this application because I was struggling to sort the Android development platform.

Android is hard until you get it. You'll have an ah-ha moment and you'll be set. Mine was when I realized how activities and code classes worked together.

What do they hold back from the free version? It has been a long time since I looked at their page, and I know things may have changed drastically, but they used to be very, very expensive. And if they still are for the pay version, I would be a bit worried to start up on a free version of a platform I knew I couldn't buy the paid version of (it used to cost several thousand dollars).

But again, things may have changed drastically since the last time I checked them out.

I have used it. Was one more thing to have to learn. One more thing missing features or have weird ways of doing things. I eventually moved on.
