Mac software? Best recommendation is installing Linux over it, unless you plan on gaminghallsofvallhalla wrote:So finally got my new mac book pro in today. I7, 8 gig ram, 250 gig SD. I have VM ware running Windows so dedicated 4 gig ram there and 4 gig on Mac.

I have never owned an OSX device, but one app I am jealous of is one I have heard about several times that is OSX-only: a pixel-art program called Pixen. It is $10 in the Mac Store (apparently it used to be free).hallsofvallhalla wrote:So finally got my new mac book pro in today. I7, 8 gig ram, 250 gig SD. Wow, I would even go ahead and purchase something like that. Imagine the uses for games!Jackolantern wrote:I have never owned an OSX device, but one app I am jealous of is one I have heard about several times that is OSX-only: a pixel-art program called Pixen. Re: New MacBook
I've been dabbling with some pixel art in my latest project... too bad that is Mac-only, it looks cool

Well, Windows still has Pro Motion, which is the best pixel art program out there. It is just more expensive, and likely has tons of spacey features some people won't need.
